Crickets may be fed frequently to these tiny creatures but have to be gut loaded. This means that prior to the feeding of tarantulas with crickets, the crickets need to be kept for some time in a container with fresh fruits, vegetables, vitamin powder and mineral mixture.
Many times, the crickets may be sprayed with mineral and vitamin powder and the gut loaded crickets are better ones for feeding to these animals.
Similarly, select the feeds like lizard or small pinkies especially to the bigger tarantulas and however, take more care that at any point of time, the feed size should not be larger than the size of the tarantulas.
Food should be given at least once in five to seven days. Preferably the crickets should comprise the bulk of feed material. An adult tarantula may eat two to three crickets of average size.
You have to take care that the tarantulas in molting period is more vulnerable for injuries and may be in weak condition. The large sized cricket may do more harm to them in such occasions. Hence, you need to be careful in those periods, additionally.
Meal worms of all sizes may be fed to these creatures. Feeding schedule for Tarantulas should be enriched with provision of multi vitamins and minerals in general .Yeah.
